Mirror of Consequences
Mirror of Consequences came to life today. The Mirror cannot be better explained but through the physics concept of action and reaction. It talks about how every action that has a reaction is a true mirror of ourselves. Looking into a mirror shows nothing but a surface hence it's deceiving. Nothing defines us better than our own decisions and actions and the saying according to which we see us better through the eyes of others is as true as you can get.
This composition is very close to my heart and I dedicate it firstly to my muse. It is also meant for all of my beloved ones for whom I wrote this and to all of you who relate to it.
If you look into a mirror
You should know it lies.
It's like a ball you throw
That never bounces back...
So welcome to the mirror of consequences
Where that "ball" might bounce back
into your senses.
Why do you shout?
Next time when you're angry
Imagine the tears that come with it.
It will melt away.
What's the rush?
Slow down or you'll surely crush.
Slower your chase
And they will keep up with your pace.
If you imagine their years of wait
and no whine
You will let them take their time.
If you cease again to sloth
What's good inside you'll rot.
Think that tomorrow might never come
And later will be too late.
It ain't a crime to think about yourself
As long as you don't keep it to yourself.
Have a bit of consideration,
More respect and loads of appreciation
For the self sacrifices they've made,
the love they've grown for you,
for all they've put of with.
And all that because
Your smiles and happiness
Made it worth,
Their one and only great reward,
Were food for their souls,
Reason for living.
When you see them upset
And you know you're the reason why
Remember how they look when they smile.
Doesn't that guilt eat you up?
It's never difficult to take for granted
But watch this cure:
Close your eyes and imagine,
deeply,
They won't be there the next day,
Gone, forever lost
And there is nothing you can do
to bring them again.
Scary?
It doesn't take much to bring
some happiness:
Make a wish,
for them,
Help their wish to come true,
Slow down and look around,
For the ones reaching for you.
Hurry up to wipe their tears,
But take your time to revive their smiles.
Sweet words can do little wonders
One "I love you" has divine powers,
A heartfelt "I'm sorry" is for the soul's rest,
A true "I forgive you" God-blessed.
Do what you you're supposed to
today,
Tomorrow though, dedicate it to
them.
Share the little you have.
Look up to them,
who support you,
Cherish them,
for whom they are,
And praise God for sending
them in your life.
Give them all they deserve
For you owe them a lot,
Quit expectations
For we own nothing in this life.
